5% To Charity - MANNA Food Bank

Updated: Feb 16, 2022

I care about what you care about, and I'm putting my money where your heart is! I'm donating 5% of every commission to each client's favorite charity.

Showcasing Claire and Josh's Choice - MANNA Food Bank

I helped Claire and Josh find what was supposed to be there forever home a few years ago. Shortly after their move, the Covid-19 pandemic hit and the dream of establishing themselves in their community became increasingly challenging. Upon realizing that the pandemic would last more than a few months, they decided to move back to North Carolina to be closer to family. After garnering sixteen offers, I helped them sell their house for almost $250,000 more than they purchased it.

When I asked Claire and Josh, which charity they would like me to support, they chose MANNA Food Bank. MANNA is an acronym for Mountain Area Nutritional Needs Alliance. It serves the 16 counties of Western North Carolina including the Qualla Boundary. Their mission is to involve, educate, and unite people in the work of ending hunger in Western North Carolina. Working families are struggling to regain their foothold in this post-recession economy. Western North Carolina families and residents face a socio-economic “perfect storm”: housing costs are forcing people to live in more rural areas; the region’s economy is driven largely by lower-paying service and seasonal employment; transportation challenges force people to drive long distances to secure employment; and skyrocketing child and healthcare costs place tremendous strain on working families. Despite their best efforts, many families can’t afford all the food their children need for healthy, normal development. MANNA aims to eradicate hunger in Western North Carolina. When you buy or sell with me, you can support your favorite school, social justice organization, food bank, un-housed neighbor program, veteran group, or anything else you care about. How great is that? What will you choose?
