Showcasing Stephanie's Choice - Odd Man Inn Animal Refuge
I helped Stephanie find a new home with a big yard for her dogs to play. For her charity, she chose Odd Man Inn Animal Refuge started by friends she knew through roller derby. Although they are now located in Tennessee, after taking over a large pig rescue that was in serious disrepair two years ago, OMI started as a small rescue in Washougal (WA). "I have so much respect for the founders and the amount of creativity and transparency they put into their organization." Odd Man Inn Refuge started because their founders Wendy and Josh, adopted a "problem" dog, Roswell. Instead of euthanizing him when he couldn't be successful in their home, they changed their whole lives to give him more space to meet his needs. Because they purchased a larger property for him, they had the space to take in a pig that was set to be killed which started their farm animal refuge."
