This week I’ve actually got HomeS of the Week, not just a Home of the Week. I was previewing for a client and ran across this delightful community in Mount Baker. You don’t often see many coops outside New York, so this piqued my interest. I drove up tree-lined streets to the Horton and York Coop and felt my pulse relax. I felt so peaceful pulling up to the totally refurbished building. Four friends came together and bought a 1920s apartment building and storefront in 2017. They totally renovated the building and created 6 beautiful homes clustered around a central courtyard. Don’t tell the sellers, but I picked some fresh mint and oregano for my pasta that night. The original fir floors are gorgeous, the layouts all unique, and the hardware is top-of-the-line. If you have ever thought of living just outside city in a cooperative urban community – come check out Horton and York! The listing agent, Laurie Samuelson [Windermere R E Mount Baker] is hosting a private event on Sunday for which I’ve obtained invitations for you. Stop by this charming building and see if it might be your next home!
